SAUCE DAY!
Nothing picked today but we made 8 long neck bottles of the most delicious sauce from our tomatoes. It reminds me of making sauce with my grandparents many years ago.
Here's the proof. 8 bottles.
On another note our shade cloth seems to be doing a great job as the water temp is only at 22oC which is great for todays hot weather. We'll monitor it over the next week during the warm days and if it stays around that temp we'll get some trout.
I remember Dad and Mum's tomato sauce too! Yum! I hope your's is as yummy!

ReplyDeleteI just boil my jars and bottles in water for about 10 minutes.. This kills any bacteria and I also bottle while the contents are hot.
